Use the operating requirement to narrow the first review. A duty-led start changes the door, not the discipline: final selection still requires the complete flow, head, liquid, suction and construction data.

General purpose

For a broad range of chemical and industrial process duties — the default entry when no dedicated hydraulic constraint applies. Both ANSI families publish a general-purpose model: the G196 general-purpose pump and the D Mark III general-purpose pump.

Low flow

Self-priming

For applications where suction layout and priming behavior are key selection inputs. Two reviewed models are published: the 3796 self-priming process pump and the unitized self-priming process pump.

Materials of Construction

Available wet-end materials may include WCB, CF8M (316 stainless steel), CD4MCu, CN7M / Alloy 20, Monel, Nickel, Hastelloy B or C, Titanium and Zirconium alloy. Availability varies by component, configuration and family. The reason this page maps no liquid names to alloys is that concentration, temperature, impurities and aeration flip the answer — the same acid name can be pumped in steel at one strength and demand an exotic alloy at another. Send the liquid data, not just the liquid name, and prepare the material-selection inputs before the enquiry.

A material name alone is not a compatibility recommendation. Final selection requires liquid composition, concentration, temperature, pressure, solids and corrosion data.

Twelve product pages carry the portfolio: general-purpose and low-flow entries for both ANSI families, the heavy-duty G 3175 entry, two self-priming models and five competitor replacement programmes mapped to the G196 family. YSM S series single-stage, double-suction, axially split volute pumps built to GB 5657 and supplied as non-OEM replacement and equivalent pumps for KSB Omega-type installations: DN 80–800, flows to 11,600 m³/h, heads to 200 m, 105 °C, 25 bar, horizontal or vertical arrangement. Interchange is confirmed against the installed pump drawing before order.

What information should I send for pump selection?

Send the flow rate, head, liquid name and concentration, temperature, suction condition and any existing pump model or part number. Complete duty data allows our engineers to review and quote without extra follow-up rounds.

Do the published maximums apply to every pump size?

No. Figures shown on series pages are series-level ranges. The limit for each size depends on impeller, speed, material, seal and duty conditions, and is confirmed during engineering review.

Can YSM review an existing pump nameplate or part number?

Yes. Share a photo of the nameplate or the part reference in the enquiry form and our team will identify the pump and respond with a reviewed replacement or spare-parts proposal.

What happens after I submit a request?

An application engineer checks your data, asks for any missing operating details, and returns a written selection and quotation with the applicable technical documents.

A complete enquiry closes in one review cycle; an incomplete one becomes a correspondence thread. Include the flow, head and suction conditions; the liquid with concentration, temperature and pressure; specific gravity, viscosity and solids; material and seal preferences; and the motor supply, quantity and destination. For an existing installation, add the model, part number, drawing or a nameplate photo — the review then starts from the installed pump rather than from scratch.

Anything unknown can be stated as unknown — a marked gap is reviewable, a silent one is not.
